Life Skills
At St. Jude's, we believe that children thrive when they develop the skills they need for life beyond the classroom. Through everyday routines, dedicated lessons and real-world experiences, pupils learn important life skills such as independence, teamwork, problem-solving, communication and resilience. We also teach practical skills—from staying safe and making healthy choices to managing emotions and developing good habits. By nurturing these life skills, we help children grow into confident, capable and responsible young people ready for the future.
Complementing our PSHE, RSE and Online Safety curricula, our life skills curriculum falls into the following areas;
- Resilience
- Self Regulation
- Motivation
- Confidence
- Practical skills e.g. tying shoelaces
